The infrared sensor mainboard connects to your computer using a RS232 female plug, You need to make up a lead with a female plug, use a one wire cable this can be up to 45 m from where you are going to install the infrared sensors. Solder a wire to pin 2, and 3 ,5 to the RS232 female plug the RS 232 plug connects to your computer, think about where you are going to locate the infrared sensor thay need to be exposed to the sky, My sensors are located on a garage roof, which is approximately 45 metres away from my computer The second female RS 232 female plug is for programming. This can be a short lead you need to program and test the device indoors close to your computer
