Tavernspite Class 4 Teacher, Julie Houghton, recently visited a school in Murcia as part of the Lifelong Learning Programme.
Shadowing a teacher in Murcia, the aim was to improve language skills, learn more about Spanish: culture, education system and language, in order to enhance the modern foreign language provision back in Tavernspite School

Fair Trade In Football Campaign's New Logo
After numerous presentations, receiving over 200 logo design entries, three visits to Stoke City Football Club's Training Ground with Head of Media Colin Burgess and Competition Judge, SCFC Midfielder Brek Shea; Sharron Stokieshazer Hardwick's Fair Trade in Football Campaign has it's brand new Logo!

Fair Trade In Football Logo Winner’s Presentation
Young people in Pembrokeshire have recently been presented with Highly Commended and Winners awards for their efforts in a Design A Logo Competition.
The competition to find a new logo for Sharron Stokieshazer Hardwick’s Fair Trade In Football Campaign, supported by Fair Trade Wales, received over 200 entries

Local Logos In Premiership Hands
Logos designed by local young people are now in the hands of Stoke City Premiership Football Club players, waiting to be judged.
St Aidens, Neyland, Tavernspite and Tenby Junior schools; New Life Christian Fellowship; Narbeth Messy Church and Scouts all took part in A Design A Logo Competition for Stokieshazer's Fair Trade in Football Campaign.

School's Fairtrade Action At Folly Farm Africa Day
On 11th May the Fairtrade Foundation presented a petition, including local signatures, to the Prime Minister as the first step of their Make food Fair Campaign. Make food Fair is running alongside Enough Food For Everyone IF, where over 150 organisations, including The Fairtrade Foundation, Fair Trade Wales, and Tearfund Wales, asking for urgent action to readdress injustice in the food system. They hope to ensure a fair system for the world's 2 billion smallholder farmers.

Fair Play
Llys Hywel Primary and Laugharne Primary recently contested a football game in the name of Fairtrade. The two schools’ Fairtrade steering groups played one another as the last event before Llys Hywel submit their overall project work to the Fair Trade committee in the hopes of achieving the Fairtrade Foundation’s Fairtrade School Award
